School of Missions & Discipleship
The School of Missions & Discipleship is one of the flagship ministries of Hanyar Gaskiya Discipleship Ministry (HGDM). Its purpose is to equip believers with sound biblical knowledge, discipleship principles, leadership skills and practical ministry experience for effective Christian service and mission.
January–February 2026 Training Programme
The School of Missions & Discipleship was held from 25 January to 7 February 2026 at the HGDM Ministry Centre, Bagado II, Kamazou, Kaduna State. The programme brought together new converts, church workers, evangelists, youth leaders, pastors, missionaries and other believers seeking spiritual growth and preparation for ministry.
The training combined:
Biblical instruction
Prayer and worship
Evangelism
Practical ministry
Discipleship
Leadership development
Mentorship
Mission preparation
The emphasis was on developing Christlike character, deepening understanding of Scripture and preparing participants for effective service within their churches and communities.

The programme strengthened participants spiritually and practically and prepared them to serve Christ more effectively.
Despite financial and logistical challenges, God provided grace, strength and protection throughout the training. The programme concluded successfully, with participants better equipped to serve Christ and advance His Kingdom across Northern Nigeria.
Building the Next Generation of Gospel Workers
HGDM believes that discipleship is an investment in the future of the Church. The ministry therefore seeks to conduct additional Schools of Missions & Discipleship, establish regional training centres, translate discipleship materials into indigenous languages, equip missionaries and evangelists, strengthen follow-up of new believers and develop digital discipleship resources. The long-term vision is to raise a generation of Christ-centred leaders who will faithfully proclaim the Gospel, make disciples and serve the Church in Northern Nigeria and beyond.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations… teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” — Matthew 28:19–20
