MISSION AND OUTREACH HIGHLIGHTS
Taking the Gospel to the Communities
Hanyar Gaskiya Discipleship Ministry (HGDM) is committed to taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ to rural, underserved and unreached communities across Northern Nigeria. The ministry places particular emphasis on Hausa- and Fulani-speaking communities and areas where access to consistent Christian witness and biblical discipleship remains limited.
Village and Community Evangelism
Throughout January–June 2026, HGDM ministry teams continued to visit villages, towns and remote settlements, sharing the message of salvation through:
Village-to-village evangelism
House-to-house witnessing
Open-air Gospel preaching
Community revival meetings
Prayer and intercession
Evangelistic visits to Hausa and Fulani communities
Follow-up of new believers
Discipleship classes
Distribution of Bibles and Christian literature where available
Jesus Light & Healing Crusades
The Jesus Light & Healing Crusades remain one of HGDM’s major evangelistic outreaches.
Between January and June 2026, several crusades and revival meetings were organized in communities across Northern Nigeria. These gatherings created opportunities for people to hear the Gospel, receive biblical teaching, participate in worship and receive prayer ministry.
The crusades included Gospel preaching, worship, healing and deliverance prayers, counselling, revival services, intercessory prayer and follow-up of new believers.
Reaching People with Limited Access to the Gospel
Through these outreaches, HGDM reached communities with limited access to consistent Christian witness. Many people made commitments to follow Jesus Christ, believers experienced spiritual renewal, churches were strengthened and new relationships were established for continued discipleship and follow-up.
Training Labourers for the Mission Field
HGDM believes that effective outreach requires trained and committed workers.
Through the School of Missions & Discipleship, believers, evangelists, church workers, missionaries and emerging leaders receive biblical instruction, practical ministry training, prayer, evangelism and mentorship. The goal is to raise faithful disciples who can serve Christ and disciple others.
Building Lasting Relationships
HGDM seeks to ensure that outreach does not end when an evangelistic programme is over. The ministry works toward continued follow-up, discipleship and cooperation with local churches and Christian leaders so that new believers can grow in faith and communities can receive an ongoing Christian witness.
Facing the Challenges
Mission outreach is not without challenges. During the reporting period, HGDM encountered difficult roads, inaccessible villages, limited transportation, financial constraints, security concerns, shortages of evangelistic materials and language and cultural barriers. Despite these challenges, the ministry testifies that God provided protection, strength and open doors to continue proclaiming the Gospel.
Looking to the Harvest
HGDM remains committed to reaching more unreached communities, raising additional evangelists and prayer teams, strengthening partnerships with churches and ministry organizations, and providing systematic follow-up and discipleship for new believers.
